Taxes
February 27, 2006 @ 12:39 p.m.

Well, I'm sure that many of you have already filed, or is about to. Remember the April 15th deadline. I have NEVER gone to H&R Block. I have either done my taxes or have had a tax accountant do it. I've tried to get my sister to go to our tax accountant but she has been a faithful client of H&R Block. After hearing that they failed to report some of their taxable earnings and now owe over 32 million in back taxes, it only shows that I'm in the right place by not going to H&R Block. If they can't get their own taxes right why would they get your's right? For all of you who go to H&R Block.... good luck to you. And for those of you that don't.... congratulations on not getting ripped off.
My sister can have her Union fees deducted and they won't do it for her unless they charge her more than what she would get back from it. How dumb is that. She's not dumb. I'd use what they have in the past and look up all the other deductions that she can use and do it myself. Then with all of the new TAX PROGRAMS that you can use now-a-days it checks for deductions for you.
Yes, it's a business and B&R Block is out to make money. But they are also in customer service. If you take care of your customers, they will always come back. If you mislead your customers, shame on you. Unfortunately alot of people don't have tv's or computers where they can educate themselves on such topics and go blindlessly into these businesses thinking that they're going to be taken care of. Now if you have a friend that works there, then you'll be ok. But how many of us really have "FRIENDS" that work for H&R Block or any tax preparation place? And I mean a real friend.... not someone you see once a year.
Anyways.... clix away people.... happy tax time....
