Wedding Update

Well I got a binder with tabs and started to gather information. Dresses, sites, invitations, things like that. Well then Huggy-Bear went out and bought a Wedding Planner for me. It's blue/white with tabs with pockets in it. I transferred everything over. IT'S GREAT!! It has these 8-1/2 x 17 forms that you use to write out your guest list on. If you've sent invitations to them, RSVP spots, shower info...etc. Then you have a section for vendors with address and contact info. I just about have something in every section. THANKS SIS, IT'S GREAT!!! And you know I like to be organized and this is wonderful.
HB, her daughter, and I went to a site that I found in Palm Springs. From the web site photos I thought this place would be really nice. NOPE!! Paint was chipping off of the benches, the gazebo, stains on the cement, cracks in the cement. He had a MESSED up set of teeth HB said. Let's just say for $385.00 it's diffinately over priced. I was kind of sad because there was alot of thing included with the price. Photos, video, decorations, 1/2 hr recept. Well the decorations were silk white flowers that looked about 100 years old...very faded. I began to think, well this could work... I could buy flowers and more decorations to look nicer. But HB said it perfect, while looking at all of the photos he had she thought to herself.... Special-Caye & G are better than this. Not to say that we're these "SPECIAL" people, but why settle for a place because of price? There are many places here in California that are nice and affordable. I don't want to have to take a loan on the house to pay for a wedding that lasts a few hours. Plus, I still have over a year to look for a nice place. I'll continue my research and make appointments when I find something that I like. And when I find it, I'll know as soon as I park in the parking lot. I don't have to have a receiption, all of the places so far has the option of only the ceremony. I've found alot of nice dresses. I saw one that I really like at David's Bridals, and on sale.
So, I think that's about it for now. It'll probably going to another week before I post again.
