ELECTION 2008

So I know most people don't discuss who or what they voted for. Well I'm not one of those people. I am one of MILLIONS who voted for Barack Obama. No matter who won, this was a MAJOR historic election I hope many of you voted. I also voted no on 8. Although "marriage" is per Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary "the mutual relation of husband and wife. The institution whereby men and women are joined in a special kind of social and legal dependence for the purpose of founding and maintaining a family". Now with that said, I do believe in that. Perhaps instead of calling it marriage it should be a Union. Because two men and/or two women can not be married to maintain a family. Yes they can adopt but they themselves can not procreate. But I do believe that they have the right to be happy and that is why I voted no. Unfortunately more people voted yes and it is no longer legal in California.
But in regards to Obama, I am EXTREMELY happy. This is a time for rebirth for the United States and I hope that we as a people can come together and work together to get this economy back on it's feet!!!
